Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Basalt. By installing or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

License to use Basalt

IAM_DEV grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use Basalt for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and the Microsoft Store terms that apply to your acquisition.

Local AI output

AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it, publishing it, or using it to make decisions. Basalt is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

Models and third-party content

Downloadable models and related materials are provided by third parties and may have their own licenses, acceptable-use terms, or attribution requirements. You are responsible for reviewing and following the terms associated with the model you choose.

Your Skills

You are responsible for reviewing the custom instructions you add as Skills and for how you use model output produced with those instructions.

Your data and backups

Basalt stores its workspace locally and does not provide cloud backup or synchronization. You are responsible for maintaining backups of information you need. Removing local data, resetting the operating system, or losing the device may permanently remove your workspace.

Acceptable use

You may not use Basalt to violate law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute malware, harass others, or interfere with a service or network. You may not misrepresent AI-generated content in a way that causes unlawful harm.

Availability

Features can depend on your hardware, operating system, available memory and storage, model availability, third-party services, and network access. We do not guarantee that every model or external service will remain available.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basalt is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of generated output. IAM_DEV is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the application.

Changes and termination

We may update Basalt or these terms. You may stop using the application at any time. Rights granted under these terms end if you materially violate them.
